The Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Mizda, is one prominent constituent Colleges of the University of Gharyan. Academic instruction at the facculty commenced in the year 2000 , during that period it was affiliated with the Unvirestiy departments in Gharyan ; at that time, the students enrollment reached approximately 1000 students. The faculty ws integrated with University Mizda. In 2004, the Faculty of Arts in Mizda, and the faculty of Science at Nesma, were incorporated into Al-Jabal Al-Gharbi University.
